Sachashnike

A pub for sports lovers
At the corner of Merab Kostava and Yakob Nikoladze Streets, you’ll notice an old bas-relief bearing the inscription “Sachashnike.” The new premises of this charming pub are ready to welcome guests at any time—whether it’s the start of a busy workweek, a Friday night, a live broadcast of your favorite team’s game, or a business lunch.
The older generation of Tbilisi residents remember “Sachashnike” well—it was the place where they used to go to buy wine. The building’s history has greatly influenced the establishment’s concept, which successfully blends with modernity.
The "Sachashnike" building features a unique bas-relief depicting a man and a woman with bunches of grapes and the date 1969 engraved on it. The concept of the pub, its branding, food and bar menus, as well as Sachashnike’s marketing, belong to the company “Gastronaut.” "Gastronaut’s partner in this project is "Badagoni".
One of the pub’s most important features is the broadcast of sporting events. The screens installed in the hall are visible from anywhere in the room, which, combined with a modern sound system, makes Sachashnike the perfect place for sports fans. The most important part of our culinary focus is the grill: steak, kebab, fish, vegetables, meat skewers and chicken—everything is cooked on the grill. Our grill, with minimal interference in the recipes, gives the dishes a delicious, smoky, simple flavor.
When selecting desserts, we decided to focus on nostalgia. We have guests who come just for dessert and order the so-called ‘Trubochka' (custard horns), ‘Medok' (honey pie), apple pie, and quince pie… They say these flavors take them back to their childhood and remind them of their grandmothers’ homemade desserts.
