Ernest Hemingway’s Favorite Dish

Ernest Hemingway – a beloved writer, journalist, and simply a fascinating person.

One of his greatest passions was travelling and of course, traveling can not be imagined without cuisine. He often described how freshly caught fish should be prepared.During his time living in the Caribbean, Hemingway’s favorite dishes were closely tied to seafood.

Here’s a shrimp recipe:

Ingredients:

 500 g shrimp
 ½ pineapple
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp vinegar
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp oregano

In a bowl, mix the honey, olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, and oregano.Add the peeled shrimp and cubed pineapple into the marinade and let it sit for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.Thread the marinated shrimp and pineapple onto wooden skewers and place them on a preheated pan.Grill on low heat, turning until evenly cooked on all sides.

Serve preferably with a mojito – just the way Hemingway liked it.
