Most children (and not only children) have probably seen the animated film The Princess and the Frog, where the main character, Tiana, is shown cooking gumbo with her father at the beginning of the movie. Later, after turning into a frog, she prepares the same soup in the forest using a tree bark as a pot.

Wash vegetables. Chop bacon, bell peppers, and okra. Fry chopped ingredients on a low heat. First bacon and after few minutes bell peppers and okra.

Transfer fried ingredients in a saucepan. Add chicken broth, wine, corn, tomato paste, canned tomatoes, and celery. Bring to the simmer. After add shrimps and chopped crab sticks. Simmer for 5 more minutes. Cook rice.
