People of the Eastern Georgian Mountains traditionally cook Khinkali, Kaghi (treated, salted meat), Kaurma, Kotori (Khachapuri with cottage cheese filling). The pride of Tushetian kitchen is Guda cheese, while Pshav-Khevsureti has Khinkali, which can also be cooked with cottage cheese and potato fillings. One of the Mtianeti traditional meals is Khachoerbo (cottage cheese mixed with boiled butter), which is made of dried, ripen balls of cottage cheese. Another dish – Khavitsi is a few pan-roasted thin slices of cheese. The local beer and Zhipitauri vodka are also worth to taste.
