Apple roll with cinnamon

You will probably agree that nothing can compare to an aroma of apple and cinnamon in autumn. Roasted apple cubes wrapped in fluffy bun rolls are an ideal dessert to spend cool autumn evenings and to collect friends.
You will need the following ingredients:
For the cookie dough you will need:

  • 350 g high quality flour
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 50 g sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 210 ml milk
  • 80 g melted butter

Other material:

  • 1 piece of apple
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 1 tsp black rum (optional)
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 80 g butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 100 g cane sugar

We start with preparing the dough, melt butter and let cool. Slightly heat the milk, lightly whisk the eggs.
Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix, then pour in the milk, eggs and butter. Knead a uniform, soft dough. Cover a bowl with a piece of cloth or plastic wrap and let stand in a warm place until the volume doubles.
Peel an apple and cut it into small cubes, put 20 g of butter, apple cubes, nutmeg and 1 tbs sugar in a saucepan, cook until the apples are soft, add black rum, boil for a few seconds and remove from the heat.
Mix butter (60 g) and brown sugar at room temperature, add cinnamon.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface, giving it a rectangular shape. Pour in a sugar and butter mixture, then top with apples and roll into a roll. Cut the roll lengthwise with a sharp knife, roll the two pieces together like twisting a rope. Place the bun into a baking mold and stand again in a warm place for 20-30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Put the bun in it and bake until golden brown or 40-50 minutes. Let cool and then cut.
