The smoothie bowl is one of the favorite breakfasts of the followers of healthy nutrition. Compared to the usual smoothie is a thicker mass, and usually cut fruit, nuts, grains, or granola for crispiness are added to it. It is eaten with a spoon.
To get a relatively thick mass, there are several methods, such as using frozen fruit, less liquid, or thickening with oat flakes. For mixing we generally use a chopper, then we put the obtained mass in the bowl and add various tasty additives to our taste.
You will need the following ingredients to prepare two portions of chocolate smoothie:
1 large banana (you can pre-freeze sliced pieces)
1 tsp honey or other sweeteners
1 tsp raw cocoa
1/2 glass of coconut milk (or any milk)
Mix all the ingredients in a chopper until you get a homogeneous mass, place into a bowl and add the granola, linseed, chia, nuts and sliced banana.
Granola is an ideal supplement for smoothies. Crunchy and delicious granola prepared according to this recipe will be sufficient for 1 week. It can be stored sealed for up to 2 weeks.
To prepare granola you will need:
1 glass of oats
Pinch of salt
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ glass of chopped nuts
2 tbsp. coconut oil (or olive oil)
2 tbsp. honey
½ a glass of dried fruits or cut chocolate to your taste.
Preheat honey and coconut oil in a small saucepan. Mix oats, nuts, cinnamon, salt in a bowl. Pour over the honey, stir well to dip the oats well in the honey, spread on a baking plate and bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 15 minutes. Mix well and leave in the oven for another 15 minutes. Chocolate and dried fruits are added after cooling.
