Banana Bread

Banana bread recipe first appeared in American culinary books in the ‘30s. There is speculation that the popularity of this recipe was due to the low price of overripe bananas during the Great Depression. Every housewife could prepare an easy-to-make fruitcake with the available products. Banana bread, which is actually a fruitcake, is a favorite cake of the Americans.  They even celebrate the Banana Bread Day on February 23.

Our version of this fruitcake, which is very tasty, is slightly different from the traditional Banana Bread recipe.
