Unleavened Bread

You might think that baking bread at home is quite difficult. This is the case when we talk about the yeast-leavened bread, because its preparation takes a lot of time and effort.

The recipe for the bread, which we offer is unleavened. We need not wait for the dough to rise and in just 1 hour the fluffy bread with crispy bread crust is baked.

 

 

You will need:

  • 290 g bread flour * + for use during cooking
  • 30 g rye flour
  • 50 g oats
  • 30 g sunflower
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 300 g sour milk matsoni 
  • 1 egg

 

Preheat oven to 190 degrees.

Place all the dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.

Beat the eggs lightly and mix to matsoni .

Make a hole in the bowl filled with flour, pour matsoni mass and stir first with a fork,  then quickly knead the dough by hand. If necessary, add some flour.

Give the dough an oval or round shape, lightly flatten it with the palm, sprinkle with the flour and separate with a sharp knife, then put it on a floured plate and bake for 45-55 minutes.

Eat warm.

 

* You can replace bread flour with whole grain flour.
