Many faces of a potato

Potato Gratin – American recipe.

Cut the potato into round pieces. Get a nice baking tray, thoroughly grease it with butter and place thin layers of potatoes on it in a round shape. Pour milk into the flour, then add cream, salt, and pepper, mix well and smear it to the potato layers. Do not forget to cover the bottom of the tray with silver paper to protect your meal from burning. The oven temperature shouldn't exceed 200C. Bake for 20-30 minutes. Grate cheese in middle-sized flakes on top and return back to the oven for 5 more minutes.


When done sprinkle thinly sliced dill on top of it and enjoy its beauty and taste.

Apple potatoes

3 boiled potatoes
3 boiled eggs

A bunch of green onion
2 apples
salt, pepper, and mayonnaise


Grate half apple onto the cube-shaped potato and boiled egg pieces and top it with a thinly cut green onion. Add some salt and pepper, mayonnaise and mix well.

Sweet potato pie 

Place a nicely elaborated pie dough on a special baking tray and place in the 350C heat oven for 20 minutes. Prepare potato puree. Scramble the puree with eggs and add some sugar. Top the mixture with milk and lemon juice, vanilla powder, salt and ground nutmeg. Stir them all together and allocate on the dough. Let it bake for 40 minutes.

Potato dough tastes quite interesting and it's easy and cheap to make.

1kg potato
250gr flour

50gr cheese



Boil your potatoes in skin. Cool them and peel. Make a puree. Add some flour and grated cheese to it and start kneading. That's it – you have a solid potato dough.
