Epiphany is one of the most important Orthodox holidays. In many countries, January 19 is a day off. In addition to religious significance, Epiphany has acquired a social role - on this day godparents and godchildren visit each other. You've probably heard different versions of who should go first to whom, but this time it doesn't matter. You can always cook delicious sweets in order to spend this evening more pleasantly with "sincerely" close people.
We offer you a recipe for which you will need:
1 l. water
1 cup rice
100 gr. honey
1/2 cup raisins
50 gr. walnut
From the Greek "kutya" - "boiled wheat." Kutia can be cooked from any cereal, we suggest cooking from rice.
Wash and boil rice, add raisins. Stir honey in a little water and mix with crushed walnuts. Mix and mix everything. Garnish with marmalade or candied fruit.
Enjoy!
