Yellow watermelon, the so-called "Thai Watermelon" is a simple watermelon, which has a yellow core. In the last century, breeders tried to cross a wild watermelon with a red watermelon. Wild watermelon is not edible, because it does not contain sugar, but has a yellow color. After crossing, a yellow watermelon has a sweet taste with fewer seeds.
Today, it is cultivated by Spain (in the summer) and Thailand (in the winter). Thai watermelon additionally has an oval shape, and the watermelon of Spanish origin is smaller and round.
The properties and composition of yellow and red watermelon converge in almost everything - 92% water, 6% sugar, and a small amount of vitamin, especially C.
