Mexican cuisine is the fusion of Aztec empire and Spanish traditions. Additionally, traditional Mexican cuisine was inscribed in 2010 on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
The authenticity of Mexican cuisine determined by some of the major products - corn, beans, tomatoes, chili peppers, coriander, jalapeno, Serrano. In addition, a part of Mexican cuisine is everyone's favorite salsa and guacamole sauces, tortillas, burritos, fajitas and etc. Mexican cuisine has spicy food range, which is determined by the climate and lifestyle.
Nowadays, a number of various cuisines have adapted traditional Mexican dishes. It’s important, that such major components, as salsa and guacamole sauces, tacos and tortillas are often used in nontraditional variations.
Of course, everyone knows, that origin of Tequila is Mexico, but such worldwide popular drink, as Hot Chocolate (or Cacao), is also part of unique Mexican gastro-culture.
